Your download has come as a ZIP file. Please unzip and place your desired version on your Spectrum or emulators storage device. The included CLOAD.TAP is an easy way to launch Invasion of the Cloud People from your Android, iOS, or other cassette style loading device. This will save you from entering a few commands to get this game loaded. This game was created in Sinclair Basic and should run on any Spectrum with 48k or more.
Files included in the download are:
Read Me First IOTCP - This is the document you are reading now. IOTCP stands for Invasion of The Cloud People. ;-)
CPMANUAL.TAP - Small graphical manual that plays on most any Spectrum or emulator. Launch it to read about the game and your mission.
CLOAD.TAP - This will save you from having to type various commands to get the game loaded and started. Just a simple LOAD “” and select this CLOAD.TAP file, the simple app gets the ball rolling. Once running, you can then select the CLDPEOP1.TAP next and it loads and runs.
CLDPEOP1.TAP - best used for cassette “style” loading from Android & iOS apps where the device plays the computer tones and is being connected with a 3.5mm headphone type cable.
CLDPEOP1.SNA - Best used for newer Spectrums or emulators that can work with .SNA files. Examples include FUSE or ZX Spectrum Omni Laptop.
Steps to run Invasion of the Cloud People - TAP version
1. Copy CLOAD.TAP and CLDPEOP1.TAP to your Android, iOS, or cassette style storage device.
2. Connect device to your Spectrum as needed.
3. Turn on your Spectrum Computer
4. In Basic, type LOAD “” and select the CLOAD.TAP from your storage device.
5. Hit the Enter Key on your Spectrum to start the load and then hit Play on your storage device.
6. Read the on-screen text. Asks you to hit any key and the app starts.
7. Main paper goes white after a few seconds and the Beeper in your Spectrum dings.
8. Once you hear this ding, Load and Play the CLDPEOP1.TAP.
9. After about 4 minutes the Invasion of the Cloud People title screen appears and play the game as desired.
10. HAVE FUN!
If this loader does not work for you, do the following.
1. Steps 1 thru 3 the same as above.
2. In Basic, type CLEAR 39999 and press the Enter key.
3. Then type LOAD "" CODE 40000 and press Enter.
4. Select and play CLDPEOP1.TAP from your storage device.
5. Once loaded, type RANDOMIZE USR 40000.
6. Play the game. Enjoy!
Steps to run Invasion of the Cloud People - SNA version
1. Copy CLDPEOP1.SNA to your Spectrum or Emulator that can play .SNA files.
2. Select and Launch the game by normal means for your particular computer or emulator.
3. At the Invasion of the Cloud People title screen, hit any key to start the game.
