It's a Goal— футбольная аркада, выпущенная в 1994 году для ZX Spectrum 128K и 48K.

PLAYING IN THE LEAGUE
The league consists of 16 of the top teams from Scotland and England and they will all play
each other once. The team that finishes top after the 15 game season wins the league.
PLAYING IN THE WORLD CUP
The teams are divided into six groups of four and all the teams in a group play each other
once in the first round. The top two teams of each group and the four best third placed teams
then go onto the second round. From here the play continues in a knock-out format all the way
to the final.
If during the knock-out phase a match is drawn then sudden death extra time will be played
with the first team to score winning the game, in the 128K version, extra time is replaced
with a penalty shoot out.

team to play in from those shown. A graphical representation of the highlighted formation will
also be shown.
The home team is always in the dark strip.
While playing the game pressing T and Y together will abort the game and Pressing H will pause
the game.
Controlling a player
You have control of the player in the best position to get the ball. This player will be shown
by a short line just under his feet.
A player will gain possession when he makes contact with the ball.
To tackle another player who has the ball you must make contact with the ball in an attempt to
kick it free.
By pressing fire when you do not have the ball you can perform a sliding tackle.
When a player has possession he can run with the ball for a short time before kicking it just
ahead of himself at which point he will loose control of the ball and he must then make
contact with it again to regain control.
Kicking the Ball
When a player has control of the ball he will be able to kick it by holding down the fire
button and then releasing it to set the strength of the kick.
Kick Strengths
A short tap of the fire button will pass the ball to the nearest player in front of the player
who is in possession.
Hold down fire sligtly longer for a low kick. (Used for shooting). Hold down fire longer again
for a high kick. (Useful for clearing the ball out of defence).
Once the ball has been kicked you can then apply "after touch" to bend the ball left or right.
To do this you simply push the joystick in the appropriate direction. For example:
If your player was running right when you kicked the ball, pushing the joystick up just after
you had kicked it would bend the ball to the player’s left. Where as if your player was
running to the left, pushing down on the joystick would bend the ball to the player’s left.
The Goalkeeper
The goalkeeper will be controlled by the computer except for when he has the ball or when
taking a goal kick at which point you can kick the ball in the normal way.
Set Pieces
The player taking the kick/throw will run to the ball and you can then take the kick or throw
in the normal way. A throw is taken the same way as a pass.
Free Kicks and Penalties
The 128K version of the game includes free kicks and penalties. Taking a free kick is the same
as taking a normal kick.
When taking a penalty, a cross hair will move up and down the screen in front of the player,
which you use to aim your shot. To shoot press fire to set the strength of the kick as
described above.
You can also control your goalkeeper by pushing the joystick up or down and pressing fire to
dive up or down.
