MICROSPHERE





OMNICALC is a spreadsheet analysis


program designed to make full use of the


ZX-Spectrum. It takes most of the work out of


solving any sort of numerical problem.


Programs that might have taken a week to


develop in BASIC can be set up using


OMNICALC in an hour or so.





OMNICALC is the only spreadsheet for the


Spectrum that is written entirely in machine


code. This means that we have been able to fit


in more features, and still allow you more


space for data and formulae. What is more


OMNICALC will never crash - everything you


put in is fully checked as you put it in, and


you are told immediately if something is


wrong. And it is fast. Even if you had wasted


your time writing a BASIC program


specifically for something you wanted to do


you'd probably find that OMNICALC was


faster. It's so fast in fact, that we have been


able to build in a unique iterative facility, and


ANY mathematical model, even numerical


analysis, can be done with it.





OMNICALC sets new standards in Spectrum


business programs. It is already being used


successfully for a wide range of activities -


from cash-flow forecasting to concrete stress


analysis; from business games to golf


handicapping; from financial budgeting to


insurance policy comparison.

Loading The Program


To load the program proceed as follows:-





1) Set the volume control of your cassette


recorder to somewhere near the middle.


Rewind the cassette (label side up) to


the beginning of the tape.


2) Connect the EAR socket of the cassette


player to the EAR socket of the


Spectrum. Make sure that there is


nothing in the MIC socket of the


computer.


3) Type in LOAD "omnicalc". (The LOAD is


obtained simply by pressing the "J" key


rather than typing in the individual


letters. The quotes are obtained by


pressing the SYMBOL SHIFT and the "P"


keys at the same time.)


4) Press ENTER and start your cassette


recorder playing.





If the tape fails to load, try again with


slightly different volume levels. If it still fails to


load, send it back to MICROSPHERE at the


address above for a replacement.
