PROJECT SERPO
A free illustrated graphic novel for the ZX Spectrum 128K
In 1965, twelve human volunteers left Earth on a secret mission to an alien world.
Thirteen years later, only eight returned.
Project Serpo is a linear visual novel inspired by one of the most controversial stories in UFO folklore: the alleged exchange programme between the United States government and an extraterrestrial civilisation known as the Ebens.
You are Commander Hale, one of the surviving members of the expedition. After returning to Earth in 1978, you are taken to a secret facility in Nevada and ordered to explain what really happened during those thirteen years.
Through a sequence of illustrated scenes, Hale recalls the journey to Serpo, humanity’s first contact with the Ebens,.
Was it history, disinformation… or fiction?
The answer is yours.

The mission began as an unprecedented experiment.
Twelve humans would live on Serpo for thirteen years while an Eben delegation remained on Earth. It was intended to prove that two distant civilisations could understand and trust one another.

Visual novels
Illustrated stories
Interactive presentations
Adventure game scenes
Animated introductions
Narrative sequences for retro games
More information about SEIE and its development tools can be found on the SEIE itch.io page.
CREDITS
Project Serpo uses the UDG text font called "Dead Forest", created by DamienG,.
DISCLAIMER
Project Serpo is a fictionalised adaptation inspired by the mythology surrounding the alleged Serpo exchange programme.
The events, characters and dialogue presented in this production should not be interpreted as verified historical fact. The original Serpo story remains controversial and has never been conclusively proven.
