Safecracker— это головоломка для ZX Spectrum, выпущенная в 2010 году. Игроки выступают в роли известного взломщика, который только что вышел из тюрьмы и ищет новое дело. Сюжет вращается вокруг взлома высокозащищенного банковского сейфа, который его производители считают неприступным.
Игра предлагает игрокам три уникальных механизма для взлома: рычаги, катушки и замок. Каждый механизм требует особого подхода, используя навыки решения проблем игрока для достижения успеха. Механизм рычагов включает установку шести рычагов в правильные позиции, известные только сотрудникам банка. Механизм катушек требует выравнивания символов солнца для разблокировки сейфа.
Механизм замка более сложный, он включает использование отмычек для манипуляции штифтами внутри замка. Игроки должны обходить нормальные и главные штифты, вызывая движения, требующие стратегического планирования, чтобы избежать поломки отмычек. Успешный взлом всех механизмов дает доступ к ценному содержимому сейфа.
Код и графику создал Рафаэль Мязга, а музыку сочинил Mister Beep. Safecracker предлагает сложный опыт для любителей головоломок, акцентируя внимание на стратегии и точности в ретро игровой среде.

SAFECRACKER
A puzzle game for Zx Spectrum
THE STORY:
You are a notorious burglar, pickpocket and safecracker.
You have just left prison and you are looking for a job.
A job that would involve using your skills, of course
After some search you have eventually found something worth
your effort. A well known bank is holding a highly valuable
deposit of cash and gold bullion in an big, steel safe.
Nobody has ever broken into that kind of safe and its
manufacturers claim it to be impenetrable.
Show them that they are wrong!
YOUR TASK:
You need to crack the safe's protections and break into it.
The safe is protected by three independent mechanisms:
* LEVERS MECHANISM
A collection of levers must be set in the correct
position, known only by bank employees
* REELS MECHANISM
Rolling reels must be set in correct position by
pressing the required sequence of buttons
* LOCK
The lock is opened with special key. As getting the
key is practically impossible, you must use your
lockpicks instead
Lose too much time while cracking each of the mechanisms
and they will catch you!
GAMEPLAY
The game can be controlled eiter with keyboard or
Kempston joystick.
The keyboard keys are:
Q-up A-down O-left P-right Space-action
To complete the game you need to beat 3 puzzles. Beating
each puzzle must be done in a limited number of moves.
At any time you can press X to quit the game and return
to menu screen.
PUZZLE 1. LEVERS MECHANISM
There are six levers on the safe door.
Each lever has a knob of different colour.
Levers must be set in the correct position. The position is
known to you as you "borrowed" some notes from a drunk bank
employee in a pub.
Use action key to change your chosen lever and direction
keys to move it.
Plan your movements wisely as there is a limited
space to replace the levers positions.
PUZZLE 2. LEVERS MECHANISM
There are 5 reels and 5 buttons beneath them. Pressing
buttons makes the reels rotate.
Reels depict different symbols. You know from your
notes that 5 symbols of the sun must be set to
unlock the mechanism.
Use left and right to switch between buttons and
action key to press buttons.
PUZZLE 3, PINS MECHANISM
As you were unable to obtain the safe key, you
must use your lockpicks on the safe's lock.
You have two lockpicks. Use action key to
swap the lockpicks and direction keys to move
the currently chosen lockpick.
There are some pins inside the lock. You can push
top pins up and bottom pins down with your
lockpicks if other pins don't block your way.
Pushing a pin triggers another pin to move.
If any of your lockpicks is in the way of the
pin, it needs to be taken back to avoid being
broken.
However if your 1st lockpick pushes some pin
and the triggered pin is blocked by your 2nd
lockpick in its topmost or bottommost position,
the triggered pin will get stuck in its topmost
or bottommost position.
The stuck pin won't move if you take back the
lockpick which blocks it.
You can "free" the stuck pins by pushing them
up or down appropriately.
There are two types of pins - normal pins and
master pins. Normal pins and master pins look
differently.
There are only 3 master pins in the lock, each
of different colour. Pushing a master pin
will trigger all pins of the same colour as the
master pin. They will move and get stuck in
their topmost and bottommost positions.
To crack the lock you must make all the pins
to become stuck.
Crack all the protections and the safe contents
will be yours.
