Tetrisfor eLeMeNt ZX and MB03+ is a port of the original game developed for SAM Coupe by Lord Insanity / The Lords in 1990, adapted for ZX Spectrum with MB03+ or eLeMeNt ZX by Zirin in 2026. The game uses HGFX graphics and SAA 1099 sound.
This version introduces several differences compared to the original SAM Coupe release. It incorporates two photographic backgrounds in 256x192 resolution with 64 shades of gray. The playfield area appears darkened against the images. Blocks feature plastic shading, and there are toggle switches allowing customizations such as brightening/darkening the background, switching between backgrounds, toggling colored/gray blocks, enabling/disabling music and sound effects, and selecting between plastic or single-colored blocks. Additionally, there is the option to enable or disable a scrolling text at the bottom and configure key assignments for rotation and pause.
The falling speed increases every minute, and a fast drop grants a 50% point bonus per piece. High scores are displayed alongside the main play field. The visual style shows the game blocks superimposed on grayscale portrait photographs. The overall genre is puzzle, specifically the falling block subgenre, where players must arrange blocks for efficient line clearing.
